Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences is comprised of the areas of medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics and pharmacology. The department participates in the teaching mission of the College of Pharmacy at both the professional (Pharm.D.) and Graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) programs. Faculty are engaged in research in synthetic and natural products chemistry, drug metabolism, drug delivery, pharmacokinietics, physical pharmacy, molecular pharmacology and biochemistry. Clinical and Administrative Sciences Information coming soon The Toxicology program is administered by the Department of Toxicology within the College of Pharmacy. The Toxicology curriculum consists of a four-year program designed to include a solid foundation in basic sciences, a broad background in Toxicology with several specialized courses and sufficient non-science courses to provide the student with a well-rounded education.
