Mr. Archer is a registered pharmacist with over 30 years experience in the Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefit Management, Mail Order, and Retail Drug industries. He is a hands-on practitioner and is an expert in the design, marketing and sales of retail and mail order prescription benefit programs, managed care contracting, new product development, and pharmacy management and operations. He has also supervised the design and administration of pharmacy and on-line prescription claim processing systems.
Mr. Archer is currently a Managed Care Consultant for AmerisourceBergen Corporation. He has been associated with McKesson Prospective Health Services (Software Development), MedImpact Healthcare Systems (PBM), Retired Persons Services, Inc. (AARP), International Pharmacy Management, Inc. (PBM), MIM Health Plans, Inc (PBM), and KB Services Incorporated (Retail Pharmacy Chain), as a director of sales, regional account executive, a marketing and operations consultant, a regional director of sales, and a manager of third party marketing and administration.
Mr. Archer earned his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1974. He is a member of the National Council of Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP), Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), the Louisiana and Texas State Pharmacy associations and a lifetime member of the Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity. He is a licensed pharmacist in both Louisiana and Texas.
